2008 NBA Draft Lottery

1. Chicago Bulls - The Bulls won the first pick in the 2008 NBA Draft!!! Finally, something good for Bulls fans. The season was full of turmoil, and this is probably the brightest point of the season.

2. Miami Heat - The Heat need help at a lot of positions. A young Point Guard would be ideal for this spot, Derrick Rose seems perfect.

3. Minnesota Timberwolves - The 'Wolves have young talent, and this pick will add to their collection of young players with a lot of potential. Minnesota has to build around Al Jefferson, and whomever will be picked in this spot.

4. Seattle SuperSonics - This team may not be in Seattle next season, but they will still have their young stud Kevin Durant. This is a team full of young developing stars, and this pick can really boost them. The playoffs don't look like they are in the near future, but the pick may turn that around.

5. Memphis Grizzlies - Another lottery pick for a team that definitely needs them. This team has potential, but needs to harness it before it makes a splash in the tough, tough Western Conference.

6. New York Knicks - A bad lottery for this team that is desperate for a young, budding star. The Knicks are a Mess (hence the name of the group), and they really, really needed a higher draft pick. It might be another long season in New York next year.

7. Los Angeles Clippers - They took a major step back this season, even with the emergence of Chris Kaman. You can blame the injuries to Elton Brand and Shaun Livingston, or just say that the Clippers were a bad team coming in, and were a fluke the year before. Either way, they struggled and they need a Guard who can score.

8. Milwaukee Bucks - The Bucks have so much talent, that so many fans are confused as to why they can't win. They have a franchise player in Michael Redd, a young point guard who can score or dish out assists in Mo Williams, a developing center in Andrew Bogut and a young forward who has potential. Instead of a player, I think they should draft Mike Krzyzewski.

9. Charlotte Bobcats - This is another team that has a lot of talent that just can't win. Emeka Okafor is a former Rookie of the Year who has slowly declined, Raymond Felton is a young point guard who is being recognized for his great play, and Gerald Wallace is a forward that can score. The Bobcats want to draft a guard that can score, and help them have a turnaround.

10. New Jersey Nets - The Nets season was full of surprises. Jason Kidd was traded to the Mavericks, and the Nets look like they got a good deal, because Devin Harris is a speedy guard that has a lot of potential, and it seems that Kidd slowed down the Mavs. The Nets desperately need a low-post threat, and they can pick one with this pick, or trade this pick for a proven threat.

11. Indiana Pacers - The Pacers have an ailing center in Jermaine O'Neal, and I believe that in this draft they feel like they need to either get a guard who can score or a low-post threat. They need help, maybe Reggie Miler can come back...

12. Sacramento Kings - The Kings seem like they will go into rebuilding sometime very soon. They traded away Mike Bibby, and Ron Artest was involved in some trade talks this season. They need a big man badly, and I wouldn't be surprised if they got one with this pick.

13. Portland Trail Blazers - The Blazers are going to just be adding to their future-dominant team. Throw this pick in with Greg Oden, Lamarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy, and you have a sick team. I'd draft a point guard with this pick. A great point guard with good court-vision could lead this team far.

14. Golden State Warriors - With Baron Davis possibly departing, I think the Warriors have to prepare for the worst, and go with a young guard. Surprisingly, they have the 14th pick, and they won 48 games!

This should be a VERY interesting draft.

Trail Blazers

Two words.

Anyways, I'd take a long small forward for the Blazers. When they lost Ime Udoka last year, they suffered for it.

I still can't believe the Bulls got the top spot. That coaching position should be an interesting race now that they have the Lottery Pick... Good breakdown of each teams needs
