FAST FACTS: Yankees reliever Kyle Farnsworth (12th, 2.1%) was the one pitcher among the top 20.... As a Phillie in 2006 the famously fearless Rowand, running full speed, caught a ball off the bat of Xavier Nady, smashed into the outfield fence and broke his nose. He held on for the out.... Yanks Derek Jeter (sixth, 4.2%) and Alex Rodriguez (10th, 2.5%) were the only teammates in the top 10.

I saw this in the issue and was really excited that the players give Jason Kendall props. He gets no love because of his offensive shortcomings, but the guy just goes out and plays night in and night out. Really glad to see that four of the top ten are catchers -- really means the players understand the beating these guys take all the time. Solid poll all the way around...

Report Offensive CommentAaron Rowand so deserves the top spot! And to be voted there by his peers is a real honor. He leaves it all out on the field, every time. I miss him in Philly, but wish him luck in SF!
