"That was an ugly swing. He's had probably three of the ugliest swings of his life in this game." -MASN Commentator about Bobby Abreu during 6th inning of the 5/21 O's-Yankees game
"You know, if you don't get to hit a lot - and Luis certainly falls in that category - you have to get the bat moving or you're out." - same as above, in reference to Luis Hernandez. Way to point out a guy's lack of batting opportunities right after he strikes out.
"When you have the opportunity you just have to keep pounding on them. It's what the Yankees have been doing to the Orioles since 1997!" -Same as above (I think), during the Orioles' 12-2 win the previous night
"By the end of last season, with a sinker added to his arsenal and fat chiseled from his frame, he was Frederick's best pitcher." -description of Bowie Baysox pitcher Chorye Spoone from "Spoone, Erbe: brothers in arms," Childs Walker's piece that ran in The Baltimore Sun May 7th. Not the most tactful description in the world, but better than his sister Jordan's brutally honest appraisal that "It looked like he had a package of hot dogs shoved in the back of his neck." Reason #462 you don't let your little sister talk to the press.

Well, let's see. Either it's Gary Thorne or Jim Palmer responsible for those "pearls of wisdom" you've mentioned. (Thorne's the one with the glasses.)
But the last one you mentioned--"reason #462"--THAT one cracked me up.
Christ, what a night.
