1) Matchbook Romance- Monsters

"We are the monsters underneath your bed, yeah... believe what you see."

Unlike the false rumors running about a beloved member of Karma Police, I'm a real chick. One that plays Guitar Hero, actually. This song caught my attention when a friend was struggling to master it. Too bad the band is on indefinite hiatus; I'm itching to hear some fresh stuff from them.

2) Roses are Red- Failing

"Failing at conversation... but I wanted you to show me, I wanted just to know me like you do."

I had no idea that this was in my iPod until I was cleaning it up a couple of weeks ago. I was about to delete the song, but something made me want to listen to it before it got lost forever. Turns out that I liked it, so I looked at the album it was from: '06 Warped Tour. Whaddya know? Looking through that album was like meeting long time friends that you haven't seen in a while.

So They Say

3) So They Say- Antidote for Irony

"Wait 'til tonight, you'll see exactly what I have seen and can't believe."

Another one from the '06 Warped Tour that I had no idea existed in the vast realm of my iPod.

People in Planes

4) People in Planes- Pretty Buildings

"Telegraph your points of view and sheppard me from silence."

Solid stuff from People in Planes. They're going to release their second album, Beyond the Horizon, this coming June. Pretty Buildings was available online for download, a very smart move for the band because the song actually got me pretty worked up to get my hands on their new CD.

Four Year Strong

5) Four Year Strong- Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die

"'Cause without all the ups and downs we've been through, you know it's true: that I could get really sick and tired of you."

Great song, hardcore riffs with punk-pop mixed in that makes everyone happy. The band members look like people that you don't want to meet in a dark alley, but they sure do make good music.

Don't Look Down

6) Don't Look Down- To All Our Saviors

"The waters turning red, all our saviors, the world is burning in your hands."

To All Our Saviors was actually accidentally put into a mix of songs that my friend gave me along with the Punk Goes Crunk album that I begged him to burn for me. This pop-punk quartet from New Jersey actually broke up around 2004 after releasing their album, Fear In Love, which includes the song that I'm wantin' all y'all to listen to now.

The Secret Handshake

7) The Secret Handshake- I Wish (Skee-Lo Cover)

"I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller, I wish I had a girl who looked I would call her, I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a '64 Impala."

If you have any sense of humor, type on your browser.

Armor for Sleep

8) Armor for Sleep- Williamsburg

"Too hip to even clean your nose out, your grave is pulling at your pants now... you will all die in Williamsburg."

This music video's hilarious, but kinda satiric if you think about it. I'm wondering what the hell the song means, though... I mean, Williamsburg is a pretty sweet city, at least, the Williamsburg we have here in Virginia. So I don't know what the band has against it: "This city was the blueprint for hell." Pretty strong accusation, if you ask me.

9) Bayside- Winter

"I've been feeling three feet tall this month, hardly indestructible."

This song is simply amazing and one of my favorite songs. Melancholy acoustic and very deep with emo-ish meaning is to be expected from Winter. Apparently, Bayside didn't make a video out of this song so all YouTube offered was this "video" that only showed a single picture through out the whole song. But still. Listen and you'll fall in love with this Long Island band.

10)  Rufio- Above Me

"The sky it burns bright with your presence tonight."

Another punk-pop quartet but this time from California. The song is quite catchy, albeit with sugary-sweet lyrics that you manly-men may not find up to your taste.
