I watched the post game conference a few minutes ago that had Pens Coach Therrien at the podium.  The man looked like he was ready to cry.  Instead of answering the question about where Malkin has been the last two games, he wanted to talk about obstruction.  Obstruction?  Is he kidding anyone out there?  Please.  Both teams are doing whatever it takes to slow the other down and that is why nothing has been called, except the calls on Lidstrom in game one.  I know he got at least one obstruction call.  The team will follow how their coach acts.  The Pens do not need to turn into cry babies.  Sykora was doing that in the locker room about Osgood.  Come on boys and play the game.  Enough about what The Red Wings are doing and focus on what YOU are doing.  Trust me, it's not the ref's this time.  Stop crying and motivate your players to play hard.  No whining will win you a Stanley Cup.  That post conference was awful and it made him look stupid.

Isn't that what a coach is supposed to do? Whether you like it or not?

No. Babcock could have done the same thing about the ref's disallowing a goal the other night and did not want to get into it with the reporter. He said it's done and let's move on. (Holmstroms stick was in the blue paint). When a coach makes excuses for his team, and the team starts believing those excuses, then they will not perform like they should. They will look for another excuse why something did or did not happen. Therrian may be a good coach, a great coach even, but to stand up there the way he did looked rediculous. If he looks defeated, which he did, how can he get his players to pick it up and play with heart. It was a bad game for the Pens EVEN THOUGH they had some great chances. The Pens have to bear down and forget about these two games and take one game at time. The Pens defense looked tired at times and appear to not be able to stay with the Wings forwards. The line out there with them really needs to clamp down and cover for each other, which is not happening a lot. And Fleury, he's got to be a lot better period.

I love how its not the refs unless the calls are going for the penguins, and then its all the refs fault, bettmans a crook, and everything is rigged.
