I was in a barber shop about one hour from when this was written. The TV had Fox News on and they showed some news about how Little League baseball teams can't be named Orioles, Red Sox, Yankees, Rays, Blue Jays, Tigers, Indians, Royals, or any other MLB team name. When I was little, my little league team I played on (not really played on, more like benched on) was the Braves. I have been a Braves fan every since. I also played on the Dodgers, I also used to like them. I have a teacher that played rec basketball for a team named the Blue Devils, he has been a Duke fan ever since. Doesn't the MLB have more important things to worry about? Apparently not (joking).
Just something to think about next time you drive your kid to a Tidal Waves game that he is playing in, instead of a Padres game. They think it is cool if you are on a team that is good in the majors. It does effect them.
