Thou now ravished champs of basketball

Thou children of the Lakers and old age

A simple man tells of the great appall

Of the fall of the Spurs, and their ownage

By the Lakers, who are too strong

Both for deities and for mortals both

Glad this series didn't last too long.

What man or God is Kobe? Why do people loth?

What of the Spurs? And what of their fate?

Why NOT the Lakers? Why all the hate?

The Spurs have lost, for those who haven't heard

It's sweet, yes, the Lakers will play on

For the title, and so if you haven't heard,

The Spurs are finished, done.

But now, you Spurs fans, must not leave

Just because your title shelf is bare

For next year, your Spurs will have another chance

To win the title, to it cleave

To take it all, and win the big dance

So Spurs fans won't pull out their hair.

Oh happy, happy day for Lakers fans!

Your team won't bid the playoffs adieu

And happy Jack Nicholson, the number one fan,

Gets to revel in thoughts anew,

Of a trophy! A big, shiny trophy!

A championship forever to be enjoyed

We must relish this moment, old and young,

For the Lakers will take the trophy

And have left the hearts of Spurs fans cloyed

And have silenced all their tongues.

Who is the team that can stand up to the Lakers?

The Celtics or Pistons, I need an answer.

It won't matter, because the Lakers aren't fakers

The Lakers ARE the champs. THAT'S your answer.

Any other team that thinks they have a chance

To rise up to the occasion and to last

In a seven game series with the Lakers is mistaken

If they think they can beat the Lakers in the dance

No matter the opponent, Game 5 will be the last

Before the trophy, by the Lakers, is taken.

Oh Lakers! You have proven your worth

And have wrought havoc upon the Spurs, the aged Spurs

And now glory in your Finals berth

For you have earned it, and no the Spurs

And thank God for that, for the Spurs I hate

And am glad to see the Lakers in the final round

And so I approach the end of the tale of woe

Of the Spurs who fell flat on the ground

"Beauty is truth, truth beauty"-that is the Lakers fate

The NEW champs are here, and ye all this ought to know.

It was clear to all who chose to see,
the lakers did not win alone.
without a chosen referee,
the lakers would have been down three to one.
the laker fans lie to themselves,
knowing their team is second best.
the spurs deserved the trophy on their shelves
and to be the champs, again, of the west.

You've gotta get out of that Texas sun, I think you've been seeing some type of mirage while watching the LA-SA series if you think the refs decided 3 of the 4 LA wins.
