Good morning everyone, in todays blog I'm going to talk about some pitchers that are available in a lot of leagues, that you have to pick up.
Jesse Litsch: Continues to be the best pitcher on one of the best staffs. He's now 7-1 with a 3.18 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP. in 10 starts, he's got 9 walks. He's not getting a lot of K's, because he pitches to contact. But he'll help you out in the other categories. He's getting a lot of attention now, so he might not be available in your league still, but if he is go get him...and don't wait untill the day before his next start, because I guarantee you that other owners have him in mind too.
Jorge Campillo: I usually don't jump on the bandwagon for a guy who's got only 3 starts & didn't make the necessary 5IP in one of them...but this guy is the new Cliff Lee. In 36 IP he has 33K 5BB 1HR allowed, 4ER allowed and a 0.83 WHIP. Pick him up and maybe try to sell high on him, or hold on to him & watch his matchups.
Kevin Slowey: I've been talking about him for a little bit now, and if you haven't picked him up yet, shame on you. You missed a great start last night Vs the Royals; CG 6K 0BB 6H 1ER. Get him now before it's too late. His ERA for the season is now down to 3.38 & his WHIP is 1.04.
Glen Perkins: This guy continues to surprise me. In his last two outings he's 2-0 (Vs. Tex & @ Det) with 14IP 7 K 2 BB 13H 3ER, bringing his season numbers to 2-1 2.77 & 1.19. I'm not sure if he's going to continue this, but he's worth a shot if you're in need of good pitching numbers.
Daniel Cabrera: His last start made people shy away a little bit, as it was a return to the old Daniel Cabrera that we all know and love (5.2IP 9 H 6 BB 4ER). His next start is against the Red Sox. I don't think he'll bounce back here either, but he's worth picking up if you need pitching. Just play him when the matchups are in his favor, ie: K.C., BAL, TOR, SEA, CLE, etc...
