How would Ozzie have faired playing for Ozzie? He would have been screwed. It's amazing how the manager that is crying for offensive help, has a background in...well, not offense.
Ozzie was a lifetime 0.264 hitter. His team is currently batting 5 position players that are batting 0.264 or better. That's more then half of his starting team.
Ozzie hit 28 homeruns in his entire career. There are currently 5 position players that have more homeruns thru May, then Ozzie hit in any single season of his career.
My question is, what would Ozzie have done if his manager starting pouting and crying about having no offense to work with? Especially if that same team was leading it's respective division?
As much as Ozzie wants to blame the city of Chicago for being fair-weather fans, maybe he should turn to himself and look in a mirror. Because one day he'll lose a game along with his fans but still stand up for his team. And the next day he'll be sitting on top of the division clearly stating that he won't stand up for a single player on his ball club.
Ozzie the Hypocrite has spoken, yet again.
