On this site Ohio State is definitely number one. Can't say one bad thing about the Buckeyes before you get torn to shreds.

I would probably rank Penn St. higher. That's only b/c I have a friend who's from Pennsylvania, and his father and family are huge PSU fans. My friend roomed with me at Georgia. You can't utter something about UGA around his father without hearing how JoePa and PSU are better. That's just one guy, but PSU fans strike me as pretty zealous.

Alabama. Totally blitzed fanatics. Southern state, no pro teams, strong football tradition. I was supposed to be a 3rd generation fan. My grandfather once threw a chair out the back door when Alabama blew a late lead. My dad cracked his shin on the concrete porch steps trying to make the kickoff of the 1965 Alabama-Georgia game. Even the little old ladies are passionate about it. Oh, yeah, and welcome back 84!

Your right about OSU at number 1. In Ohio, 99% of college football fans are Ohio State fans. Its tradition to watch every single game. In a state with 2 major markets and 6 major sports teams, its the one team we can all root for.

Whoa...Wisconsin is third? I'm so honored...seriously though you haven't seen anything until you're actually in the Camp or even in the Kohl...ahh good times, good times.

Random side note: I would have definitely put Georgia on that list..every time I've seen an UGA game they've always been pretty crazy seeming

Trust me, I held my nose for much of this list as I tried as hard as I could to be somewhat "objective." The "Gator" in "RUGator" speaks quite loudly to me ya know.

Since most passionate was only a third of the consideration, I guess 2nd is "ok". So you went to Florida..................did you attend any games at Tiger Stadium? I really can't argue these ranking because the only game that I've seen OSU fans in person they looked pretty dejected, depressed, and pitiful. Hey, at least they beat LSU in your ranking. Kidding ..............I hope you kill USC in the fall. I look forward to the game. I also agree with the drunkest statement above. Also hands down the best tailgating food. You northern guys can have those brats and beer or whatever you guys eat up there......come on down for some Jambalaya, gumbo, cracklins, boudin, hog head cheese, sauce picante, roasted pig (Arkansas games) and every other dish that creeps, crawls, slithers, etc. And by the way when we play Florida it's fried Alligator!!!! Geaux Tigers!
