First things first.....Lets start with the AFC East(IN Order)
1) The Freakin Pats
Even though I dont think the additions of Welker, Moss and Stallworth are going to have the kinda impact that give pats fans hardons, they will be improved. They were already a good team, and the got better. The best pick up they made though was picking up Thomas from Baltimore. They will finish 1st in the AFC east, probably around 12-4, 11-5 mark......
Im gonna catch some heat here, so i say "Bring it". Losman and Evans got thier groove together late last season. Evans finished 6th in yds and Losman was 11th in passing. All sign show to Losman possibly becoming a top 10 qb and Evans a top 5 WR. Even though the D took some hits, the Bills started 5 rookies on d last season. Those rookies will also be returning as well as Poz. He will have an immediate impact on the run D, which is where the Bills needed the most help.Pro Bowl DE Aaron Schobel(2nd in NFL in sacks) will be the unquestioned leader of the D. Marshawn Lynch will give JP another weapon out of the backfield. The bills will finish around 8-8 to maybe 9-7.
Dont beat your selves up Jets fans.....you have a good core team, just need a QB that has a little bit more umph on his throws. The Jets have a good line as well as a good RB in Thomas Jones. They picked up who i belive was the best CB in the Draft (Revies) as well as what might be a very solid LB as well. The Jets were the only AFC east team to beat the pats last year too. Depending on the conference play, they can move up to the 2 spot. I think they will finish around 8-8 to 9-7 as well. The only reason i have the Bills higher is because they may win one conference game more then Jets.
Trent Green cannot step in and work miracles. Good QB? Yes, Great QB....???? The Dolphins are in a whole heap of trouble in alot of different postitions. Geting rid of 2 of your top3 WRs makes little to no sense at all. The RB situtation in Miami is pretty sound. Brown looks like he can hold his own, but i dont think he can carry a team. Trent doesnt have much to work with either. The only bright spot on this team is the D. They will finish around 5-11 to 6-10.... They wont win a division game this season....
Those are my AFC East projections and im stickin to em!
