The Women R Us Group was founded by Cassidy's House back in September of 2007. The group's objective was to bring the female sports fans together in one group to discuss all things Sports. Not just women's sports. All sports. Today, the group has grown to almost 60 members.

Each month, a member is chosen who represents and supports the group in a positive and active manner. This month's member spotlight shines on the one, the only and probably the most fanatical OSU fan I've ever talked with:

Buck-I-Girl !

I sat down and asked Buck-I-Girl some questions so we could all get to know her a bit better, and here's what she had to say !

Well, golly, we pretty much know you're an OSU fan, but what about pro sports? any diehard true blue fandom?

College football is my passion, but I love football in all its incarnations-NFL, NFL Europe, CFL, Arena League-I think I was one of three people who watched (and didn't hate) the XFL... In the NFL, I pull for the home state teams (born and reared in Ohio , though Cincinnati 's off-field antics are driving me away), but it's best to ask the teams I don't like rather than the teams I do.  I've hated Dallas since I was little-NO ONE has the right to the title " America 's Team" (which would also explain my venom toward New England as of late). Hated the Raiders from back in the day-they played SO dirty.  And of course, because I am an Ohioan, I believe that Art Modell (henceforth he-who-shall-not-be-named) deserves a torturous death-I hate him even more for drafting Troy Smith and forcing me to actually pay attention to how the ex-Browns are doing...   I also love tennis and follow the Americans-James Blake is a demigod-smart, socially conscious, gorgeous... ::SIGH:: ...sorry... what were we talking about again? ;)

Did you ever play a competitive sport and if so, what was it and what was your greatest moment?

LOL!! Haven't played sports "competitively" since junior high... I do enjoy playing tennis and volleyball, though I'm not very good at either. I'm getting better at cornhole, and I shoot a pretty good stick once I'm warmed up... I also love being outdoors and communing with nature.

Best: I had a wicked volleyball serve.  Couldn't serve overhand, but I hit this hybrid underhand/sidearm ball with a g-d-awful spin. One game, I had about five or six aces in a row-- they just kept hitting the ball into the net...

Likewise, what was your worst moment?

Worst: I was fooling around before basketball practice and dove to keep the ball from going out of bounds-- I was successful, but I landed on my knee and wasn't wearing knee-pads. I couldn't put ANY pressure on it at all and I couldn't support myself with other people's help, so they had to drag me across the floor and out the door to my mother's car on a chair.  Fortunately, it wasn't broken, but I was on crutches for a month because of that bruise...

what would be your dream job and why?

MMMMMMMM... tough one. Probably some sort of professional blogger, college football analyst, or critic. To get paid to give my opinion? Too cool.

Name 3 inanimate things that you couldn't possibly do without? My media collection, my computer, and my piano.

Its an Apocalypse, you have no electricity !

OK-- can I find/buy a satellite or solar adapter for the computer? If  yes, the list is good. If not, the three items need to be my CD collection, my portable CD player, and a BIG-ass package of batteries... Music is a part of my being. I can more easily go without coffee than music, and, well, you see my email address... :)

What is your favorite sports movie of all time?

Probably Wildcats. Like Goldie Hawn's character, I love football and would make the most of an opportunity to coach. Also like her, **** at work/life balance... plus the "rap" at the end of the movie is priceless.

Who are/is the most important people or person in your life?

My family-since my father died (a year and a half ago), I've realized more and more just how important those connections are.

Family being who? hubby? Sig O ? children? Grandmother?

Family = both by birth and by choice.  Birth: My mother and my sister. Choice: My MANY "adopted" siblings, my godchildren, and my cat. Not married, but I do have an as yet undefined relationship-- he's really important to me, too.

I just handed you 1 million dollars. What are you doing first?
I'm a practical person-I pay off debt: mine, my mother's, my sister's. Then I set them up with trust funds so they don't have to worry about income (and I don't have to worry about them). The rest of the money and I are off to New Orleans to help rebuild.  I helped with tear-outs/builds in December, 2006. It had a profound impact on me.

If you could pick a song from the 80's that symbolizes your life in general, what would it be?
I'm sure there are others that are more appropriate to my life right now, but if you want insight into my past, one of my "theme songs" is Peter Gabriel's Big Time: "The place where I come from is a small town. They think so small, they use small words; but not me-I'm smarter than that. I've worked it out. I'll be stretching my mouth to let those big words come right out."

You can invite 3 people to be stranded on a deserted island with you for 3 months. Who do you choose and why?

I'm going to assume (dangerous choice, that, but oh well) that I don't have to limit it to the currently living... it's cliché, but I'd love to take Jesus Christ- not so much from a religious standpoint, but He was one of the most revolutionary philosophers of all time, and I really want to pick His brain. Also, I am so curious about those 20 years that are missing in the Bible, His relationship with Mary Magdelene, and what He thinks of people's interpretation of His words. I'd take my as yet undefined relationship-I can talk with him for hours on end and never get bored. And Oprah's trainer/nutritionist-what's his name again? Bob something. Since there would be no distractions from the outside world, it'd be a great chance to get back into shape and renew my mind, spirit, AND body... :) and I'd take my as yet undefined relationship-I can talk with him for hours on end and never get bored."

Favorite quotes?

Dad used to say, 'Life doesn't always turn out the way you plan it.'  I just wish I realized at the time he was talking about MY life." ~ Lucy (Sandra Bullock), While You Were Sleeping, and my favorite from an athlete: "It is deeply important for people to move beyond their areas of comfort before they speak on matters of importance in the world.  When you have a voice with such power, you have a responsibility to speak with eloquence and with education.  And if you cannot do that, you have a responsibility to shut up." ~John Amaechi
