It's starting to look like the Mets might be starting to put things together. I think they have been playing better than there have been over the past couple seasons and this year they are playing like the team they are: older but wiser, hurt but with some potential in their call ups/trades, and streaky on offense and pitching. Minaya seems reluctant to take chances on young players and risk a losing season if there is any hope that it will come together with the mix of veterans and the few new bright lights they have. Can Mets fans survive a 2-3 year rebuilding process with 2-3 veterans playing part-time and the younger players they have sheparding in some new, young talent ? Yes. C'mon Mets. Let's get it done. It is still early in the season and they might put it together and make the play offs this year, but only if their competition slows or fails.
