ACC FOOTBALL A DOMINATING FORCE IN 2008!

As the month of April ends, so does two premier events in the football world-the 2008 NFL Draft and the 2008 ACC Football Championship Ticket Lottery!

Allow me to recap these events:

2008 NFL Draft

  34 ACC players taken in the draft

                   (Most from any conference, 13% of the entire draft)

  11 first and second round draft picks from the ACC

  Two former ACC players were welcomed to the Tampa Bay area, joining the Buccaneers

                           (Geno Hayes-Florida State, Dre Moore-Maryland)

  The ACC is first to have two players chosen among the Top Four NFL Selections in three consecutive years

  The ACC has had the first defensive player chosen in each of the past two NFL Drafts

  Over the past two seasons, the ACC has had more players chosen on the first round of the NFL Draft than any other conference with 18 including a total 12 chosen in the 2006 Draft-a record for any conference

  Over the past two seasons, the ACC has had more players chosen in the NFL draft-82 total draftees-than any other conference in the country.

  The ACC has seen 210 players chosen on the first round of the NFL Draft and has had 2,124 players from current ACC schools to be selected in the NFL Draft.

  The current ACC teams have had a total of six players chosen as the first overall selection in the NFL Draft

Now let me bring you up to speed on the future:

The ACC draftees begin mini-camps in May, and training camps in July.

General Admission seats for the ACC Football Championship are currently not on sale, but you are able to apply for the limited amount of remaining seats through a waiting list at http://www.acctampabay.com/.  Nowhere will you find tickets to the 2008 ACC Football Championship for these low prices!  Tickets begin at just $25!
