What is it about the Red Wings and a Game 6?
Except for the anemic Avalanche, the Red Wings won every series in Six.
Weird.
Anyway... Kudos to the Wings for a good series.
Everyone compares the Penguins to the Edmonton Oilers, but there is a vast difference: Many of these Penguins will not be back next year. I realize that they are young and learning -- and have made huge strides quickly -- but they have missed a golden opportunity this year.
By the time they figured this thing out, they were down 2-0 and could never recover.
But the last 4 games were really fun hockey to watch...

Those guys shouldn't go anywhere for free agency bucks. If Pittsburgh stays together as they are right now, there's a great chance they'll be back in the finals next year. Money is not everything. Some guys play forever and don't even get a sniff of playing for the Cup (Dallas Drake is a good example) until he came back to Detroit. You can expect probably 90% of Detroits team to be back and that's why they win the way they do. Take less money and get back to the Cup with the same guys. Your name on the Cup is much better than a million dollars (In my humble oppinion). Start a family orientated organization like what Detroit has. You definately have the personell for it.
