As you have probably seen in prior articles, I have been pretty upset with the NHL. I didn't even watch the game last night. Can you believe it? Not one second of the game. I heard it was great and I did see the highlights on ESPN. By the way, what is up with Don Cherry and him saying "Anaheim, Anaheim" during the post game? I think he's nuts but anyways, I'm glad this is over. I really believe the Wings were the better team in this Cup finals.
IF, IF, IF, Pittsburgh doesn't go crazy and lose several players, they should be back next year. If I was Mario, I'd have a team meeting and try to convince these players to stay one more year. Come on, what's one more year? Everyone has seen what they can do. Even though they were outplayed somewhat they now have some experience. They went from exhuberance in a classic game to defeat in the next. Those kinds of feelings are pretty lasting in anyone's mind. There is a good chemistry on this team and it needs to stay together for awhile. You've got some older guys with some real good young guys. You've got a good goaltender also. Therrien, well he's not my favorite but he's got to be doing something right. That is just my opinion so don't go off on me. Anyways, it's been fun everybody. It will be interesting to see what happens in free agency and the draft. Both teams fans should be happy with how their teams fared this year. NBC got a boost in ratings too! And even though Tiger Woods doesn't watch hockey, I've got some news for him. I don't watch golf unless I want to take a long nap. Take care and God Bless all!

I'm glad it's over, too. I don't think my heart could take a game 7 in Detroit. The Wings are the best team this year, and I'm glad they got a chance to prove it.
