DejaVu all over again. and again. and again. Not even Sturn can save the Cavs at this point. I just got done watching the most low scoring Finals game of All-Time. Just had to soak in the thought of Tim Duncan holding another Larry O'Brian Trophy...Hurts a little bit...

Did you know that he that TIMMAy is only 31 years old. Could he possibly move into Jordan Territory within the next 5 years? I mean if he has a monster game say 32-17 in the closeout wouldn't that be enough to win him his 4th finals MVP? Let me stop by saying that I do hate Tim Duncan. I am a Laker fan and I have watch him and the Spurs eliminate the Lakers twice and come 0.4 seconds from almost doing again. Personally he makes my sports Hall of Hate with Brett Farve, Rasheed Wallace, Chris Webber, Kurt Warner, and the guy who ended Steve Young's Career. So as much as it pains me to say this but I have to.....

The best player since Jordan. Shaq gets a extremely close second but if you wait 5 more year I think TIMMAy may pass him on the number of rings. Now more than ever it is obviously clear that Tim Duncan was well worth the tanking. The Spurs are always good year in year out. They have the best winning percentage in any team since TIMMAy was drafted. Think about the Western Conference since Tim Duncan first won his title during the strike year. Since there have been 45 teams in the West that have 50 games and doubting a miracle this will be thier 7th in 9 years...and the Spurs have been 4 of those teams. Think about the teams in the west that have came and gone during that span: The Kings, The Blazers, The Lakers... In fact the Spurs are the only team in the West to make the playoffs every year since Jordan Retired. Yet thier still standing and still strong. And with TIMMAy they will always be.

Meanwhile In Goddell's L the league prepars yet again from a storm from New Englend. Do you realize that if they make the AFC Championship game it will be thier 5th time in 7 seasons. The AFC has had 35 10-win teams in that span. Yet the Patriots keep returning and Vinitiari keeps kicking field goals. If the Patriot golden boy wins another title, he could be looking at his 3rd superbowl MVP. Since John Elway retired he has clearly been the NFL best quarterback. Since he took over the Patriots record has been 70-24 not including playoffs..which if you did it would be 82-26...His leading recievers over that span have been troy brown(1-time Pro-bowler), David Branch(0-time Probowler), David Givins(ditto), and Reche Caldwell(who would not have started at Flordia last season)....3 superbowl and 4 AFC championships with that cast....it's dumb right.

Looking back the most talked about people in thier sports should be these two. Every year when analyst make MVP predicitons it should end as fast as people say Tim Duncan and Tom Brady. Since both guys started for their franchise neither has had a sub .500 season. In first round series/games they are a combined 14-0 (Spurs did lose one year but duncan didn't play). In fact In playoff series/games they are a combined  37-7. They have combined for 1 missed playoff season. Niether the Patriots or the Spurs had won a championship before these guys arrive..Honestly how many players have those type since 2000. Jeter and Shaq both led franchises to multiple rings but both of those places lured free agents and already had past success. These two turned around two franchises....only Jordan and Montana esqe right there.

As the decade begins its final chapters these two should run away with the nominees for the Athlete of the Decade. The toughest is chosing between the two. If everything goes as it looks then Brady might be looking at this 4th title by next january pulling him with a tie with Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan has the lead in MVP and Finals/Superbowl MVP, but Brady has arguably had less to work with. If you look at the stats then brady has a slight edge by leading the league in Yards and Touchdowns during 2 season while TIMMAy has never led the league in any major statitical catergory. Brady also wins in Big Game moments having a 10-2 Td or INT ration in AFC championship/Superbowl. He has also had 5 Game winning 4th quarter drives..Not that Tim Duncan plays bad in the finals, just no one has done better under pressure than Tom Brady. Both has had thier moments..Both have been head above shoulders better than anyone else in thier sport at thier position.
