DC escaped from Toyota Park, 2-1, after a goal in the 3rd minute of stoppage time. Lucianio Emilio scored the game winner for DC United, who only had 9 men. In the 53th minute, Brandon Pridouex of Chicago (former DC player) and Marcello Gallardo of DC both got sent off. Gallardo fell to the ground and it looked like his foot hit Pridouex. Pridouex bent down and pushed Gallardo back down to the ground after he was trying to get up. The two players started arguing and i think that Gallardo hit him somehow in the face, but it was no accident. The two refs started to talk, and both were sent off. Chicago had scored earlier in the 27th minute after Blanco assisted Chad Barrett for his 5th goal this season. But DC was able to come back after each team only had 10 men. Emilio took the ball in from the corner of the box, used some nice moves to split 3 defenders and took a low shot that went off the Fire Keeper, Jon Busch. Jaime Moreno was there as he slid in and scored his 5th of the season off a rebound in the 63rd minute. With DC missing their playmaker, they were hurt much more from the red card than the Fire, but after scoring, they looked ready to leave Toyota Park with a point. United almost took the lead in the 83rd, but Burch's free kick hit the wall, and then the goalie knocked it off the crossbar. Namoff was given a yellow card for a foul on Blanco, but still he was not careful. He must have something against Blanco, because in the 89th he got sent off with 2 yellows, both of them on Blanco. So with DC only having 9 men, they really had to be careful, because Chicago had time to score. But they couldnt convert and DC had one last chance to try and make something big out of this game. Emilios goal in stoppage time lead DC to their first road win since September 1, 2007. They had just won their first road game of the whole season against one of the best teams in MLS! . Lucianio Emilio was the MVP . There was a total of 10 cards in the game (7 yellow, 3 red) . DC got its first 2 red cards of the season . DC improves to 4-7-1 . Chicago is now 6-3-1 Cavman5
