it seems to me, that the Mets just do not seem to understand. I have held in my anger long enough, something has to change around here and fast because we don't like to and want to hear it, but it seems as though the Mets aren't going to even make the play-offs and the Phillies are well on their way to winning the division.
The Mets are a team who hustle when they want and play when they want, which has been rarley. They focus harder on their home run handshakes then they do when they play the game. The manager is a softy who doesn't stick up for his players, and doesn't light a fire to win. The GM gets old washed up players who find themselves on the DL. They don't have a leader on or off the field and they seem to not want to win.
They can't execute the simple things and complain way to much. Their bullpen is full of people who couldn't buy an out, and that's saying something because they have a some 140 million dollar payroll to play around with. They have no heart to win and don't seem to care. The crowd always has their backs, but its getting tough to watch a bunch of indivuals play a team sport. They have no team chemistry and the locker is divided. They rip each other after games, don't apoligize, and then try to play it off like nothing happened.
The Mets need to wake up, before it's to late...

The Mets are a bunch of hired guns thrown together. That never works. Its no suprise there is no chemistry and no way for Willie to motivate. All of these guys are getting fat paychecks and living it up via the NY life. Only David Wright actually plays hard every day and thats sad. Great blog and Go Steelers.

Good blog. A change needs to be made their. But, Wille's job being in jeopardy to Willie being safe needs to stop. The Mets need to take a stand with him..either fire him or keep him around for the rest of the year. I agree that bullpen is awful. David Wright is the one guy who cares on that team..and it doesn't seem to be rubbing off on anyone.
