Remember, we're supposedly getting the "inside scoop" from a guy who wore a Celtics jersey to the game. This ain't exactly the definition of neutral reporting. He hates L.A. teams! And that's fine. But don't pretend to be the voice of reason. And you know what? We Laker fans love Kobe.
If Kobe hadn't thrown his tantrum at the end of the 2006-2007 season, when he complained that the Lake Show wasn't doing enough to win, would the Lakers be in this position right now?

Yes, we know Kobe can be selfish.
But wasn't Michael Jordan selfish? (I saw him rip teammates into seventeen pieces.) Isn't Coach K selfish? Isn't Tiger Woods selfish? Isn't Randy Moss selfish?
By the way, self-admitted Boston homer Bill Simmons says it's funny to watch L.A. run to the defense of Kobe - but I have to assume that Boston ran to the defense of Juliard-candidate Paul Pierce after Game 1.
Were they duped when Pierce pretended he was hurt? Were they cheerleading when Pierce acted as if he had his ACL put in a blender but "miraculously" returned three mintues later?
Where was Schilling's pointed pen then?

This makes me remember when Charley Steiner called Schilling out about the sharpie sock and Schilling attacked Steiner and made him retract his statements. SI's sign of the apocalypse next week: Boston winning the NBA Championship? Let's hope not...I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Odom .... uhh, bad reference. I always try to comment on all Schilling-related pieces because I'm a big Sox fan and want to people to know that even people who root for Boston think Curt Schilling is a colossal do uchebag.
