On Tuesday night 13 players on the Hatie U-17 soccer team deserted the team at JFK airport.

What I want to know would you return these kids to the poorest country on the Western Hemisphere if they are found.

Kind of a hard choice. Apparently they've all been accounted for now, and the official reason for leaving seems to be that they've were led astray by a group of friends who live in the area, and the Haitian consul general said that the kids probably thought they were just sightseeing. I don't believe this, though. These kids obviously aren't stupid. They certainly had thoughts of seeking asylum or something in the country. With the conditions Haiti is in right now, you have to wonder how good a decision it is to go back.
