Well as a golf fan i of course love the majors. The United States Open is without doubt the TOUGHEST tournament in the world to win. Its not "THE OPEN" that title belongs to the British Open, but it is my favorite golf tournament to watch. Tiger Woods doing what Tiger does and Phil hanging on was just so great to watch. Hell im Australian and wanted Adam Scott to kick butt but Tiger and Phil put on a show. Phil was what we expect, and did things his way. Tiger of course showed why he is the best. He is patient, other worldly talented, and incredibly in the moment. The second round of any tournament will not show you the winner, but Fridays round with these guys was INSPIRATIONAL.I am on the pages of Fan Nation as saying Tiger couldnt win after such a lay off. I stand corrected!As i write this Stuart Appelby a fellow Aussie leads and i will be a very happy fan if he goes on to win, but if Tiger wins i will also be happy, because just watching this man play golf is inspirational. I have had the privilidge of seeing Jack Nicklaus, Arnie, Gary Player and other fantastic players play in their prime(yes im old) but this young man(Tiger) is beyond anything i have ever seen. Phil can match him, of that i am sure, but Phils biggest problem is not always thinking. I dont know if Tiger will win this week, but just to compete after such a lay off is NOT NORMAL. But then Tiger really isnt normal is he?Its a great time to be a golf fan!
