"Tiger, you'll never meet another person as mentally as tough as you, in your entire life. And he hasn't. And he NEVER will." This is what Earl Woods said talking about raising Tiger in the latest commercial for NIKE called, "Never".
It was evident on the 91st hole in the playoff of the US Open at Torrey Pines, as he faced Rocco Mediate, that Tiger was born to do this; and by "this" I mean, play golf. When I say "play golf" I mean dominate the PGA.
Even when it looked as if he could falter, Tiger hits great shots. Golf shots color commentators could only define as Tiger shots.
He never loses composure when trailing with 2 holes left. He remains focused whether up 3 strokes or down two. His confidence is so intimidating his competition has to try ignore his persona, as well as concentrate on their game. The discipline and dominance, the style and grace, the story-like finishes by dream putts makes Tiger such a dynamic figure that I can't foresee another person able to transcend the game as he as done. Not just in golf but in any sport.
Today was another day Tiger Woods continued defining history.
This may be a vast understatement, but he is simply the best.

Jordan played when his dad died, he played multiple times with the flu, injured and prevailed...he still lead his team and didn't want it any other way...there were many times when the media didn't know he was sick until the game was over and the bulls told them he was....just becasue he didn't want an excuse for not giving a 100%, but ya know what? he did give 100%...
good paragraph about tiger, i really think no one will ever have his mind set, determination or attitude when it comes to 72 holes +...he will go down as the best player in golf hands down...
