After Yankees pitcher Chien Ming Wang hurt his foot running the bases in Houston.  Naturally Hank Steinbrenner had to share his thoughts on the matter.  Without using anything from the actual quote he basically called the NL rules antiquated.  Saying that it's the NL's fault that his pitcher got hurt.  Despite the fact that he was just jogging around third and it was a freak accident.

Now please correct me if I'm wrong but, it would seem that Chien Ming Wang could have had the exact same injury happen to him while covering first in Yankee stadium.  I think it's funny how Steinbrenner is willing to blame everyone else for a misfortunate accident.  Accident, being the keyword.  It's not some big conspiracy that's out to destroy the Yankees.

In my opinion, Steinbrenner needs to shut his mouth about these things.  It's just one of those things that happen.  I understand why he's mad.  His ace got inured.  It seems like Steinbrenner speaks just to create controversey.  I hope he knows that what he says makes absolutely no sense.   He's speaking just to speak.

I have less respect for Hank Steinbrenner than I do for George Steinbrenner.  At least George was a respectable business man..Hank well he's just George's son.  I have absolutely no respect for him.  None of the Steinbrenners really know anything about baseball, as far as I can tell.  I don't know but, it seems to me that Hank is scared that people are going to start forgetting about the Yankees if he doesn't speak.  Hank, you run the Yankees..no one will forget about you.  The Yankees are one of the most well known franchises in all of sports.  You're safe.  So please Hank do us all a favor and don't speak for a while.

Your thoughts about the Yankees and Steinbrenner.

agree 100%. Hank just wants to stay in the news. This accident could have happened to A-Rod, then who would he blame.

I don't think you'd want to know who he'd blame if A-Rod got hurt

I'm sure he'd find a way to blame Boston, but he should realize that running the bases isn't knew for Wang, I don't think they have the DH in Japan.
