Let's do this.
1. "Statesboro Blues" - The Allman Brothers Band
This version comes from the Brothers' live album at the Fillmore East. Maybe a little on the bluesy side for this group, but a change of pace is always good. Duane Allman's slide guitar is great as usual.

2. "Children of the Grave" - Black Sabbath
Sabbath is considered the pioneer band in metal music, and songs like this prove it to be true. The galloping rhythm keeps this one moving. The pattering drums add a nice effect.

For some reason, I really like this song. Maybe it's because it starts soft and gets progressively harder. THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! Why, yes, I am immature. And I'm also enough of a loser to set myself up for a "that's what she said" joke in a blog.
Moving on.

4. "Thunder Road" - Bruce Springsteen
Saxophone solos like this are a dying breed.

5. "Misty Mountain Hop" - Led Zeppelin

This used to be my favorite song. Seriously. It also used to be Mac's least favorite song. Maybe it still is.
