For those who haven't seen the article I'm about to discuss, it's a piece written by Rick Reilly concerning the Georgia Class AAA Championship game between Stepehns County High School and Cartersville High School.  The article is located here:

It appears that the Stephens County pitcher and catcher, as a result of their "dissatisfaction" with the way the game was being called to that point, decided to exact a little vengeance on the home plate umpire.  Reilly clearly believes that this was their intent, and after seeing the video I'm inclined to agree.

What do you think Fannation? 

Now assuming they did this intentionally, what should be the consequences for these two players?  Half of the battery has already seen his future plans go up in smoke and both could be facing legal action in the near future. 

This is as shocking example of poor sportsmanship as I've ever witnessed. 

I'm curious to hear opinions- what do you think should happen to these high schoolers?
