The Spanish press has jumped all over a small encounter between Aragones and Sergio Ramos at a recent Spanish team practice.  Apparently, Aragones mentioned that Sergio Ramos does things off the field that he should not do, during a press conference.  That might have irked Ramos somewhat but Aragones doesn't do anything without thinking about it first.

There is no story here as, of course, both Marca and As are blowing this way out of proportion.  You'll know it is a problem by watching Aragones, not Sergio Ramos.  Ramos is young, in demand, and just coming into his game, which, according to some rivals that of the great italian defender Maldini.  This is not unlike any other young professional athlete learning the ropes at his pace and at his way.

Sergio Ramos' performance on the field Sunday will be an indication of just how well this chat was worked.  Aragones pinged Ramos for the two criticisms that all of us have seen in this tournament; going to discoteques at poorly chosen times and, more importantly, zooming up the field while taking his time getting back.

This, to me, is yet another indicator of just how good a coach Aragones is - he applies just the right amount of pressure and then lets his players speak for themselves.  Hopefully, Sunday's results will favor the Spanish and Sergio Ramos will continue to improve in this tournament.
