Just to add to his GBOA East 3-Point Shootout title, New Jersey Playaz standout Brian Oliver has made headlines again.  Oliver committed over the weekend to play ball for Paul Hewitt and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets for the 2009 season.  Oliver had been a highly recruited prospect, also getting interest from Pitt, West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Miami.  Oliver is the first 2009 recruit to commit to the Yellow Jackets, but is confident that the school is the right fit, both academically and athletically.

At 6'6 200lbs, Brian's perimeter shooting and rebounding skills are what separate him among other wing players in his class.  His impressive sharpshooting was on display at the GBOA East Regional, and that combined with his superior passing abilities and prowess on the boards, make the Yellow Jackets sting even more potent with the addition of Oliver to their hive.  Check out gboahoops.com for more info.
