6 Number of fights on the card (6) to feature middleweights. It is perceived the UFC middleweight division is lacking, well if these guys put on a good show maybe that perception will become fuzzy...then again, the reason many feel this way is a guy named Anderson Silva...but hey, he’s dabbling in the light heavyweight division now, so let’s give these middleweights their time.
6 Number of combined fights (6) between the two battling it out for the TUF 7 title. CB Dollaway has six wins against no losses. His opponent Amir Sadollah is listed as 0-0. Of course it was Sadollah on episode 12 who submitted Dollaway on the reality show. Dollaway got his second chance when Jesse “I’m a UFC Fighter” Taylor went nuts and got kicked out of the finals. Dollaway and Tim Credeur fought for a chance to meet Sadollah in the finals, CB won the decision.
57 Between the two middleweight Jiu Jitsu specialists, Jeremy Horn and Dean Lister, they've won (57) times by submission. Of course most, 49, have come from Horn who coming into TUF 7 sits at 79-17-5. Lister has eight submissions in 10 wins, and has lost five times, all by decision. This one has the makings of an edge of your seat ground war!
For everybody fired up about the card tonight, I posted something of a one stop shop for the event at my blog, Sports by the Numbers MMA, more numbers, four video interviews, and a video of the weigh ins.
