QUOTE : " I try to be myself and let my teammates know where I stand in my relationship with the Lord. But at the same time , I don't want them to feel like I'm trying to beat them over the head . I hope to be their friend and build a relationship with them and let them know that I'm there for them , I feel like if I build relationships and prepare my heart for a chance to share with others , God will use me in a way that will glorify Him . As it should be..Use me Lord to glorify you. Great blog. Many athletes use the success they have for Gods glory. They recognize the talents they have are God given. With that attitude God will continue to open doors for them. The Rockie organization promotes an environment with character athletes for this to thrive. I just want to acknowledge a rookie football player who plays for a rival team of my beloved Packers. RB Forte for the Bears earlier this season gave thanks to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This kid will not only tear it up on the field but will make a huge impact in the eternal arena. Another young kid impacting his team and using his exemplary character on this platform is Orlandos Dwight Howard not to be mistaken for the Mavs howard. No mistake in lack of capitalization here.Talk about polar opposites.Great to see these young kids speaking out for Christ. It sure is a far cry from a lot of young athletes using age and poor judgment as an excuse. See a pattern here?
