This move makes perfect sense and I say this because of the fact that Manuel is not a good manager. He's pretty much proven this throughout his time in Philadelphia. Another point that I would like to make is this: How come its always after four straight losing seasons with the same manager that they finally decide to get rid of them? I mean seriously it happened with Francona and I'm sure that it's happened with countless other managers of this team. I mean is Gillick afraid to fire managers or something because thats the impression that I get from him. Every year he's been in Philly he seems to show confidence in a manager that doesn't deserve the confidence that he's getting. Anyone know where the guy is that hired Manuel? I'll tell you where he is,. He Ed Wade, who was general manager of this Philly ballclub for 8 seasons 8 SEASONS is a scout for the San Diego Padres.
Talk about a fall from grace
So if ANY Phillies brass had a grain of sense left in them they would implore the general manager that they hired to fire Manuel because he's sleeping on the job.
