I would like to start out by saying "Thank You" to the lakers for giving me another enjoyable season this year. I know, it didn't end up the way we would all like but It was still great.Ya I said it GREAT! First in the tough western conference and the playoffs we're great.Up until the Celtics stuck it to us.The Celtics were just better in these finals. As a Laker fan I have no problem saying this. They outplayed us this time. They did! I want all of the lakers, including the coaches, to watch videos of the finals to start off every week of the offseason. Not to get down but to use it as motivation.Sometimes a beatdown is the best motivation. If it makes this team tougher that's great. That is one thing this team needs to do.Get Tougher!! Mentally and physically! Lets talk about this year a little bit and the changes that took place. I will start with Pau Gasol. I like him.I think he will help this team and he already has. No he is not a banger but he is helping. Once Bynum comes back ( as long as he is healthy) Pau will be better suited at the forward position. He will be better facing the basket not with his back to it all the time. He is tall and can grab outside rebounds but he is too thin to bang in the middle. Plus another year training under Phil and the triangle he will get better.Pau is a smart player. He will figure it out. Now for Ariza. I do like him alot.He is very athletic and HE PLAYS DEFENSE. Thank god somebody on this team does. All he needs to do is work on his shooting this off season and he will help us. I dont know what to say about Rad. My mother always said "If you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all" I wont be mean but Lets just say It wont break my heart if he disapears..I just dont know if anyone would be stupid enough to take him. Kobe is Kobe! What more can I say. I think he did a great job this year and deserved the MVP. The Celtics were able to stop him somewhat but that is part of the game.He played great in 98% of the games he played in.I dont want Kobe to go anywhere. Now Lamar Odom, this is a tough one. I like lamar's game when he plays with heart. The problem is the key word here.WHEN! He is still very inconsistant. He can have some great games but then just completly disapear. If the lakers want to get rid of him I say only do it for an upgrade.Do not trade him just to shake things up.If you can find someone who will play defense and has an outside shot then so be it! D-Fish is the heart of this team and should go nowhere. He plays defense and I love people who put their bodies on the line like fish does. Walton now is another guy who I dont really know what to think. He played pretty good during the reg season but in the playoffs he completly disapeared. I wouldn't mind letting him go. Sasha did pretty good this season.I think another year in training camp with us will do him good.He can hit those three's and he gets under the other teams skin when he is playing defense.I like that.Kindof what Horry used to do when he played for us. Turriaf is a complete energy bunny. Every team needs a guy like him.He can block shots and hit some too and the guy is a great dancer.Ha-Ha. Well I guess we'll see if the lakers throw any curve balls this offseason but I dont think they will make any major changes. Afterall we were 2 games away from winning the whole damn thing! Do we really need to shake things up a bunch? I dont think so!!
