Well with the Draft upon us, it will be interesting to see what the Bulls do with their truly lucky lottery pick.  Their is alot of debate with who the Bulls will take with the first pick.  Their likely candidates are Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose.  Both have proven worth on the college level but which one will translate to the NBA level.  It has been revealed that Beasley is a little smaller than what has been thought of coming into this draft, but if anything that makes what he did on the college level that much more impressive.  As it is speculated the Bulls have their minds set on Rose, but then again the Bulls, Paxson, and Reinsdorf are full of surprises.

I hope that the Bulls draft someone like Rose, for the purpose of having a guard that will make the players around him better.  Chandler, a former Bull and now a part of the Hornets, is a perfect example of what a guard can do for average players.  Chandler was a dissapointment on the Bulls, but has managed to become a better than average player.  Guys like Thomas and Deng can begin to play better knowing they have a guard who will be a threat to score.  Hinrich has been cast wrong in Chicago, but there is possiblity for him to get better with the addition of Rose, freeing him up to be a perimeter shooter.  Hinrich is a good player, but without a compliment at guard he has been asked to do too much.

The draft is not the only thing the Bulls need to focus on.  Rose will not be the missing link on this team.  The Bulls and Paxson will need to make a trade for another presence down-low.  A post up player will round out this team and make it a solid team to contend for the East.  Here's hoping that the Vinny del Negro will be able to coach whoever he gets and turn this franchise around.

lets hope the bulls go smart after taking rose and trade gordon instead or hinrich, maybe in a package with noce and probably gooden for a big who can score a la elton brand, then we would be in very good shape

i would prefer the bulls to get rose, not because hes better, but because that will force paxson to make some changes, being that there would be way to many guards. i think that hinrich is a great pg, and was falsely blamed for last years disaster, if given a good team he can put 15 ppg and 8 apg. but i think gordon has more value right now because he has lead the team in scoring the last 3 yrs. thats why they should trade gordon, and if they can get rid of hughs, that would be GREAT, but they shouldnt trade away tyrus, hes got the makings of being a star, he just needs mins, and noce is the sparkplug from the bench, and his salary is just like 6mil a yr which i think is a bargain for someone that does so many things in the court like he does
