Unlikely Heroes Boost Red Sox in Win Over D-backs

Yesterday the Boston Red Sox beat the Arizona Diamondbacks by the score of 5-0.  It was also a night in which it was the oldest combined age of both starters in Fenway Park history.  For the Red Sox Tim Wakefield and for the D-back Randy Johnson.  Tim Wakefield pitched a brilliant 7 innings allowing 2 hits and a walk.  Wakefield also struck out 6.  The Red Sox scored all of their runs from unlikely heroes in Brandon Moss and Kevin Cash.  Moss had two RBI's on seperate occasions.  A groundout with a man on third in the 2nd.  The other RBI was a sac fly to right field with the bases loaded.  Kevin Cash hit a big 3 run homer to cap off the night in the eighth inning.  Jonathon Papelbon got the save for the Sox.

Upcoming Series: Houston Astros , Tampa Bay Rays

I wish there was a different way for me to say how much I am sick of hearing about the freakin Red Sox.
