Its just been reported that the Milwaukee Bucks traded both Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons to the New Jersey Nets for Richard Jefferson.  I like the deal a lot.  But, this really makes the Bucks draft that much more intriguing.

I like this trade because Yi never wanted to be in Milwaukee...he made that known as soon as he was drafted a year ago.  As for Bobby Simmons..he never lived up to his contract.  So getting rid of both of these guys is a good move.  As for getting Richard Jefferson...I think it's smart.  Were getting a veteran guy to help the rebuilding process.

I think this deal raises more questions about the Bucks draft though.  What do we do with the number 8 pick?  I think this deal pretty much takes Joe Alexander out of are equation.  We're pretty set at the 3 now.  With both Richard Jefferson and Desmond Mason.  I think the number 8 pick is going to be traded.  Now, the next question is do we package it with Mo Williams or Michael Redd?  I think that the best way to move up would be throwing in Michael Redd because he's the better player of the two.

So now this leads me to who do the Bucks take?  Do we go after Eric Gordon?  Brook Lopez? I think either of those guys would be a huge help.  The Bucks need a guy to help out defensively. I think that Brook Lopez would be the best choice. He's a good defensive player and he could help us out up front.  Eric Gordon would also be a solid choice..it really just depends what areas John Hammond is looking to help.

Your thoughts?

Brook Lopez will probably be there at number 8. Eric Gordon should go higher.

Good point J Hova. I could really see us trading that pick. But, it's hard to say what we'll do with this move.

I agree Thug..although Yi does have tons of potential..there were times where you could tell he really didn't want to be there. I don't want to say that he'll be a role player...but, it could very be well true.

G-Mo Williams......17.2ppg
G-Redd..................22.7ppg
F-Villanueva..........11.7ppg
F-Jefferson............22.6ppg
C-Bogut.................14.3ppg

Thats 86ppg.........Now Williams scoring will have to go down with the addition of RJ but that just means he will have to play the position he was signed to do, PG, not SG.......

The bench isnt too shabby either......

Des Mason.............9.7ppg
Ram Sessions......8.1ppg and 7.5apg
Charlie Bell.............7.6ppg and 3.1apg
Gadzuric..................3.2ppg and 2.8rpg

Now the Bucks need to spend that No.8 pick on Kevin Love who can backup the PF and C spots........Or an available big man
