Ah, the NBA Draft is over and we can finally put the NBA to rest for awhile. I must say, I do like how the NBA does things, with the draft following the conclusion of the Finals so quickly. The NBA builds and builds, as the season goes along, until the climax of the Finals, but then afterwards you have the wind-down - the Draft. This would be like the NFL holding their draft a week after the Super Bowl was played. (I won't mention the Pro Bowl, because that farce of a game I hope dies of neglect) So instead of the months and months of hype we get for the NFL draft, the NBA draft hits you "Bam!" like a quick punch in a dark alley. Then its over and we can let the NBA rest and set our minds on more pressing matters. Like the Abomination that is Interleague Play.

I truly cannot stand Interleague Baseball. Its not because my team doesn't do well either. I'm a big fan of the AL, and the style of play. The American League is dominating the National League once again this year, with a record of 124-84 - 40 games over .500, and the past 5 years the AL has handily won more games. So I should like it right? The Hell you say! It really should be done away with. Is it the traditionalist in me? Maybe. But still, the interleague nonsense is just a sideshow distraction to the real season. And yet, these games count! Just not fair. We could dive into the stats if you want, but I'm pretty sure nobody is here for that. I'll leave the stat compilations to others. All I know is that visceral, gut feeling that interleague baseball is WRONG. As wrong as wrong can be. The commish and the owners seem to think its great, because sheep/fans are going to the games in droves. So they will probably keep doing it. How do they come up with the schedule for this stuff anyway? I think they are literally picking teams out of a hat, there is no set formula as in the NFL or NBA. Its completely unfair that a team plays another team from the other league, while their competition in the division does not play the same team. Just get rid of it already!

Yeah,I think the NBA draft should be pushed back a bit.As for interleague play,I think it is ok.It gives fans a chance to watch players and teams they may have never seen before,and I know it's like a sideshow attraction but it does draw money(why do you think they did it in the first place anyway?)Nice blog.
