     Never got around to commenting on these, so time to play catch-up before the 4th approaches...

     Look, is Brett Favre retired or not?? I keep hearing these rumblings about "He's gonna come back", "No, it's all rumor" (or so Brett says), "We's like for him to come back if he wants" (emphasis mine)...blah, blah, fricking blah. If the Pack want Aaron Rodgers to be the QB, then SAY IT!!! You're doing a disservice to him, to the organization, and definitely to Brett Favre by continuing to perpetuate this crap.

     As much as I wanted the Capitals to sign Christobal Huet, it shocked the hell out of me when I read Jose Theodore signed on for 2 years. Then, I see this story saying Olaf Kolzig signed with the Lightning for 1 year. This can't be right. I mean, that's like Sonny Jurgensen suiting up for the emm-effing Dallas Cowturds. IT AIN'T NATURAL, is what this is. Trust me, if Mullet-head Melrose thinks Olie's gonna help him win a Stanley Cup, I've got news for him: you're getting him on the downside of his (soon-to-be Hall of Fame) career.

     Hey, I'm not running Olie down; I'll never do that. But I've got to point out the truth on this. He's not the same guy he was back in the day. All this does is make these Caps-Lightning games much more fascinating to watch. And while I'm in a hockey motif...

     What's this about Marian Hossa going off to Detroit?? Guess it's a case of "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em". But at least Pens fans are breathing a sigh of relief that Evgeni Malkin re-upped for 6 more years. Now if they can get around to locking up "The Kid" long-term...
