Today, it's your turn to vent. I get my say on a regular basis on SI.com, and it's only fair that I give space to the folks who take issue with what I've written. Here are a few pieces of mail from the past few weeks. No snarky comments from me. I had my chance already. If you see words in brackets [], it means I had to edit for questionable content.
On my story about Oregon pulling a scholarship offer from Ventura, Calif., linebacker Xavier Ramos:

How did Oregon "screw" Xavier Ramos? Oregon let Ramos know what was happening as soon as they knew of the situation themselves. Ramos has EIGHT months to look for and accept another scholarship to another school. This sort of thing happens at other schools ALL the time.

What's with the bagging on Oregon? There are far more outlandish things happening in the world of recruiting. The comic book was innovative and seemed fine in the context of the story. But the Ramos thing is not news and is not worth the write-up. Especially when there are two stories in conjunction that disparage a school without a significantly spoiled recruiting history (looking at you Carroll and Neuheisel). Honestly, it is unfortunate that two days of confusion occurred, but the kid has a long time to sort this out and the story buried (or, at the least, failed to sufficiently highlight) the numerous examples of kids getting dumped without time to find another school.
