So I stumbled upon the following blog post by some person named **** ****** who goes under the screen name NDfan2007.  Now, I am usually not Mr. PC Sensitive, but this post to me was a bit disturbing.  Sure, it is there are hints in it that let us all know he doesn't much care for anything spanish, and I quote:

"ITS SPORTSCENTER AND IT'S IN ENGLISH AND I DON'T GIVE A SH*T ABOUT SPANISH ANYTHING!"

I was a little perturbed, but hey sometimes people just don't like certain things.  Somethings I don't like:  Spinach, the show Murder She Wrote, hangovers, when my team loses, and in general anything that gets in my way of watching football on Sunday.  I decided to read on.

"And remember, I'm Michaella Jaun-Ricardo LaFountaine Rodriguez McBeaner Pants and this has been your ESPN Deportes Update."

Now in case anyone is wondering what a "Beaner" is, it's kind of like calling someone of African decent the N word.  Being of Latino origin myself I was a bit offended by this, but even more intriqueing was the fact that some fellow FanNation peeps actually supported this rant.  My question to you:  Is there really any room for this on FanNation?  Do any other Notre Dame fans want this person representing them?

Ironically the star of our racists rant had the balls to actually try to call out another fellow FN member for having a picture of a bikini clad female as their icon. Writing something to the effect that "this type of immaturity" has no place on FanNation.  I had a good chuckle when the member with the bikini icon reminded our star that the biggest selling issue of SI year in and year out was........ the swimsuit issue!

do you really have that much free time that you argue with 16 year olds on a website for sport nerds??

June 16, 2007  11:57 PM ET

why dont u tell me you were offended instead of cry about behind my back?

June 16, 2007  11:58 PM ET

and if you care to do some research, i supported my reasoning in "calling out" davidsternblows for his pic.

June 16, 2007  11:59 PM ET

andres you are right he made insensitive remark or even worst

June 17, 2007  12:02 AM ET

"do you really have that much free time that you argue with 16 year olds on a website for sport nerds??"

Actually, that is a good point that I didn't consider. Great point Clayton.

"Behind my back"? Dude, it's the internet, but I get where you are going with that. My question is how is it behind your back when I just posted it for you and the thousand of other people on this site?

June 17, 2007  12:03 AM ET

see, they bleeped out the n word but not ****, even the makers of this website don't care as much as you guys do...

(probably because they've been laid)

June 17, 2007  12:04 AM ET

tyty

June 17, 2007  12:05 AM ET

andres if this was so offensive why didnt u private message me instead of re-exposing what many people thought was insensitive?

June 17, 2007  12:07 AM ET

because fannation doesn,t remove something it still doesn,t make it right

June 17, 2007  12:09 AM ET

that made no sense what are you trying to say?

June 17, 2007  12:09 AM ET

that...or they don't really care

June 17, 2007  12:12 AM ET

clayton you don,t have to use those word you are being insensitive to different races and just because fannation doesn,t remove something it still doesn,t make it right

June 17, 2007  12:12 AM ET

funny that this is such a devisive issue. the racist thing is totally different than the bikini thing. the racist issue is wrong but im sure NDfan2007 didnt mean any real harm. the bikini issue is a non issue. not a big deal

June 17, 2007  12:15 AM ET

clayton you are right fannation maybe don,t care about some of the word that people say on fannation and some real negative picture on people profile

June 17, 2007  12:16 AM ET

ballplayr, point well taken. I was simply pointing out the irony of him getting on his high horse. I concede on your point.

June 17, 2007  12:18 AM ET

ballplayer9 you could be right ndfan2007 sounds like he wants to get it right with andres

June 17, 2007  12:19 AM ET

With idiots like Dave Chapelle and Carlos Mencia on tv, this crap has become commonplace. It sucks.

June 17, 2007  12:19 AM ET

Now it is seen as "humorous" when really it is offensive.

June 17, 2007  12:19 AM ET

i didnt. it would be nice now if andres would talk to my face right here. i will delete the blog post if you want andres. or perhaps you want to just run around and call people out and then be a little bich and not respond?
