1. DeMarcus Ware. Without question the #1 talent on the 'boys.

2. Tony Romo. Without him the offense would be in shambles (remember life w/o him).

3. Terrell Owens. Great Offensive player and the only real WR we have.

4. Flozell Adams. Have to show the big boy some love.

5. Marion Barber. Finally a Starter.

6. Terence Newman. He's the best corner in the NFC East.

7. Jason Witten. Arguably the best Tight End Dallas has ever had.

8. Ken Hamlin. The only real safety Dallas has.

9. Adam Jones. I know this is a reach but he is extremely talented and will be a gigantic asset to the Cowboy's D.

10. Nick Folk. In my opinion he is the best kicker to wear a star on his helmet.

Not a bad list. I need to see Pacman in action after not playing for so long to put him in the top 10, though. He's not even a starter at the moment. Ellis would take this slot, for me. Folk might be a reach at #10, as well. As good of a year as he had, tough to a flippin' kicker in the top 10 of a 13-3 team that had 13 pro-bowlers. I'd probably put Leonard Davis in that slot. Other than that, can't argue much with your choices or order.

"7. Jason Witten. Arguably the best Tight End Dallas has ever had."

Not the least bit arguable. He is EASILY the best TE Dallas has ever had. And that's high praise for a team that once employed both Mike Ditka and Jay Novacek.

Witten is the complete package and then some at the position.

"8. Ken Hamlin. The only real safety Dallas has."

Come on now. Roy Williams sucks in coverage, true, but he's still a solid safety. Excellent against the run and a great pass rusher when they turn him loose.

Yea, Pac...ahh Adam Jones is not a starter but he will be. He's got more talent and athleticism then almost anyone on the team. Hopefully Henry will be taking Williams spot but I cant degree with L. Davis, he's a great O-lineman.

CCC, I expect better from you. Last year Roy was pitiful in everty aspect of his games, missing tackles, Blitzing, HA, he never got close on his blitzes. He was flat out bad, I have felt more than one urge to burn my autographed jersey of his.

6. Terence Newman. He's the best corner in the NFC East

Thats quite debateable, Philly has some excellent corners. I would take Samuel over Newman

1. Ware
2. Romo
3. Owens
4. Big Hotel
5. Witten- arguably best in football, just as key as TO.
6. Newman- still a little underrated, now that he is healed I expect his best year.
7. Barber- starter, yes, proven starter, no, that is why I moved him down 2 spots.
8. Leonard Davis - His addition really helped Flozell and the whole line got much better, finally playing where he belongs.
9. Greg Ellis- His performance on the field is great, really takes the pressure off Ware and takes advantage of the double teams that Ware sees.
10 Hamlin- think he is slightly overrated but maybe I will see what everyone loved so much, more this year. His int's were Larry Brown-Neil o'donnel like.

You would be wrong and we will see this year, he was playing on a planter fascia all year and still was a pro bowler. THIS is his year.

July 5, 2008  11:12 AM ET

agree with most of the list, but I think you should put Marion Barber a little higher, and TO should be higher than Romo on the list.

July 5, 2008  12:48 PM ET

PACMAN JONES AT #9? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This list is ridiculous, just like your other. Good picks at the top, but you have Pacman and their kicker in the Top 10. They really don't have ANYONE better? And Pacman Jones is better than Roy Williams? Where have you been?

July 5, 2008  01:20 PM ET

Newman is very underrated

July 5, 2008  01:39 PM ET

Adam Jones shouldn't be in the top 10 yet. He does have as much talent as anyone in the secondary, but who knows how that will translate to the Cowboys this year.

so true, so very true

Adam Jones is a reach but I still thinks he belongs in the top 10

July 11, 2008  05:47 PM ET

You are right about Nick Folk, he crushed me last year when the cowboys played the bills. Gotta admit that was the best game of last year dont you think? Anyways he has become one of the best clutch kickers

Yea, Jimmy...I stoped watching that game 4 times, My wife made me watch the last 2 min, good thing.
