Let me start this by saying that the Patriots are a complete system team. What I mean by that is that they can take any player they want and mold them to play a certain spot on their team, no matter is the player is overly talented or not. In other words, Bill Belichick is a genius, and without him Tom Brady would most likely be riding the bench somewhere.

Lets look at the QB. I think Tom Brady is a system QB. Many people will disagree and tell you that he is a better QB then Peyton and some other guys but he really is not. Have you ever seen a Patriots game? Tom Brady is slow as molasses, but he is great at throwing the ball to WIDE OPEN guys. The Patriots offense allows him to just sit back in the pocket until one of the WR inevitably gets open and he just puts the ball there for the WR. He rarely has to make any tough throws and I give Brady credit for finding the open guy a lot but in reality I think any QB in the NFL could do what he does.

Next, on to the defensive backs. Belichick got away with starting an undrafted rookie who ran a 4.7 fourty in the super bowl, because of the great defense. That player was Randall **** and he and guys like Ellis Hobbs are able to be decent because of Belichick. Asante Samuel is EXTREMELY overrated as well. The guy got 10 picks simply because it was made easy for him by the coaching staff. On almost all of the interceptions I saw, Samuel only had 1 read to make. He intercepted many curls and hooks because that was his only read and he knew he had help over the top so he just went for it as soon as he saw it. My point is that the Patriots coaching staff makes it so easy for the d-backs to have success. Any team who pays huge money for Asante Samuel is out of their damn mind.

As for the linebackers, just look at Mike Vrabel. The guy does absolutely NOTHING in Pittsburgh for 4 years and then goes to the Pats and is an all-pro. Tedy Bruschi as well. He was just an OK linebacker before Belichick and a game changer afterwards.
