At least two former Bobcat track and field stars are heading to the Olympics at the time this is being written.

First congratulations to Mike Hazel.  The Pan Am Games Gold Medalist finishes second in the javelin throw at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene and is heading to Beijing.  Hazel has been one of the most successful former Bobcat men on the world track and field stage since Charles Austin won a Gold for the high jump in 1996.

Second congratulations to Brigitte Foster who will be representing Jamaica at the games running the 100 meter hurdles.

Still waiting to hear about a couple of other Bobcats possibly making the Russian team.  When all is said and done their may be four Bobcats representing three different countries when the games roll around next month. It looks like Liudmila Litvinova will make the Russian team but not sure yet about Katya Kostetskaya.

Congratulations to all.  Now I have more reasons to actually watch the Olympics.
