Ladainian Tomlinson is argualy one of the best Running Backs in NFL history. LT has become a household name and like San Diego or not, people enjoy watching LT run the ball (as long as it's not against their team). With the arrival of the newest Superstar RB, Adrian Peterson, it seems as if people are ready for LT to step aside and let AP take the glory of "best rusher in the NFL". Now I may be mistaken but heading into his 8th season in the NFL, LT is going to be more accident prone and is not going to have as much speed and power as he once had. My personal opinion is that LT has earn the right to stay as long as he wants to. However, I want to know: Has LT overstayed his welcome in the NFL or is he still good for Pro Football?

AP needs to earn that title. And given LT's missed only 1 regular season game over 8 years, and AP missed 2 last year alone (and only had 1 solid game after returning from those 2), nobody needs to be stepping out of the way for him just yet.

And so what if LT may not be the best anymore? Even if he's not the best (which is debatable), he's still one of the best RBs in the league. He had almost 1500 yds, a 4.7 ypc, 18 TDs, and 60 receptions for almost 500 yds last year. Those are hardly stats of an RB whose anywhere near ready to be put out to pasture.

LT is still the number 1 RB in the league...I think perfect360 summed it up perfectly.
