Sup people, and welcome back to the NBA Chat Club. So I won my first throwdown since my last blog. Its a great feeling. But anyways, thank you for the 200+ people who read my first NBA chat club blog. As usual, I am going to be talking about what happened these last few days to in the NBA. But first, my shout outs to people who helped me.

Thank you Dawgee Fresh for giving me advice on my first NBA chat club. Also, thank you Hllywd for ur general knowledge and insight onto my blogs. And thank you Lakerfan24 for reading my blogs and saying they are good. Your blog is also really good by the way. Now that is out of the way, on to the NBA.Michael Beasley outplayed everyone in the first Summer League game against the Bulls

For everyone who thought Michael Beasley was better than Derrick Rose, the first step to prove you wrong may have been taken. Beasley scored 28 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 23 minutes. Good job Beasley. On the other hand, Derrick Rose scored 10 points and had 4 assists along with 5 turnovers in the game. Beasley wasn't perfect however. In the beginning he was taking somewhat poor shot selection and got into foul trouble early on. However, in the second half he scored 19 points and grabbed all 9 of his rebounds to make up for the poor first half. At one point he started singing, causing Joakim Noah to request him to stop.

I heard that Darius Miles is trying to come back and join the Celtics. I would support this move, as I really don't think he'll ever return to his old form because of those injured knees and he might serve better as a backup for the Celtics like what Tony Allen did after his knee injury. It would make the Celtics better as he is a decent defender and would let Paul Pierce take a break. But before that they should try to keep Posey first since he has a nice 3 point shot and plays good defense.

Speaking of Posey, I heard that he is trying to join the New Orleans Hornets. First off, I think it is stupidity from the Celtics' front office that they haven't given him an offer yet. On the other hand, he definitely will give the Hornets some help at the Shooting Guard position to make them a better team. He can shoot the three and he can play excellent defense.

On the other hand, I must say what Emeka Okafor did was quite unwise. He turned down a $12 million extension from the Bobcats. It would be understandable if he is trying to leave to join a contender, but actually even then he should have taken the money as he is far to young to consider cutting his check to be on a better team. Unlike many people on Fannation, I believe he can play as a #2 option to a good team. All he needs is a good guard to work with and he will be better. And I don't think he undersized as a power forward, he's 6'10. That's fine for a power forward isn't it?

That's it for this NBA Chat club. Thanks for reading, and hope to see you next time. Don't forget to leave a comment. Thanks and bye!

Nice blog, the celtics would be idiots not to resign Posey,he played a vital role in their championship run.

Damn, that sucks about Okafor, they really have some talent.

By the way ahung, you cannot judge how good a NBA player will be by his performance in the Summer league, how many NBA vets are taking part in this?

Emeka made a big mistake,I wonder if Artest and him have the same agent?...and Posey I feel like he and of course Pierce were the difference in the Finals,I don't know why he hasn't seen anything solid from the Celts front office,he deserves the MLE and at 31 this might be the his last good contract...I wish he will pick L.A. though...

July 9, 2008  12:40 PM ET

yeah K24B i like the lakers too

Good blog, I agreed with basically everything you said. Okafor seems to just want the money, which is too bad. I guess it doesn't change him much, but you'd think that some young players would take less money. I guess we'll see....

Another good blog ahung....i too think okafur made a huge mistake turning down the extension from the Bobcats but maybe he will get what he wants from a contender..

Good blog. I think Okafor screwed up but he has some value. The Bobcats might be waiting for another team to make him an offer so they don't overpay to keep him.

Now that Maggette has taken the Warriors' money the Celtics need to sign Posey. They cannot let Posey walk.

A good analysis of Okafor, that was.

I like the rundown. I still say Beasley will be a bust for what pick he was.
