This is my 199th blog since I have been on this site!!!

. . . Anyways, the All-Star Game voting has been done and the managers have made their last additions on the bench . . . and like always, some of the best players in the league get snubbed and players like Derek Jeter make it no matter what.  Really, what is up with that?  I know, it is the last All-Star Game ever at Yankee stadium but what does that matter?  Since it is the last All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium, lets let Robinson Cano play, Melky Cabrera, Jorge Posada, Chen Ming-Wang . . . lets throw Andy Pettitte and Kei Igawa in there too.  Heck, why don't we make the whole roster Yankees?  Yeah right - all of the Yankees in this last All-Star Game can kiss my **** . . . Derek Jeter?  Com'on.  He is hitting .281 with four home runs and five stolen bases.  Plus, what is with Alex Rodriguez being in there?  He has had a decent season but leading any player in voting is just ridiculous.  He has been injured for at least one-fourth of the season and he isn't even on pace for more than 100 runs batted in and barely 30 home runs.  Doesn't look like All-Star numbers to me.

Call me crazy but I think that Miguel Cabrera got snubbed.  He has been super clutch lately and he is hitting .282 with 50 runs batted in as of now.  He has come up in many clutch situations and definitely deserves to be a least a reserve.  The Detroit Tigers only got one reserve this year after getting five last year and who did they get?  Carlos Guillen . . . he is just having an average season at best but Terry Francona likes that he can play multiple positions - first base, shortstop, third base and outfield.  Too bad he can't play any of those positions well.  He has 11 errors so far this season and hasn't been known in Detroit for his versibility, you should have seen him play first base earlier this season - he made error after error after error.  He looked like some little leaguer out there - no joke.

I could think of many Tigers that deserve to be on the All-Star Team ahead of him - Armando Galarraga is having a great season, he is 7-2 with a 3.27 ERA all missing the first month while he was playing with the Triple A Toledo Mudhens.  Marcus Thames could have been a candidate, he is leading all players in AB/HR and has 16 of them so far, Curtis Granderson is deserving, he is hitting .298 with nine home runs and six stolen bases, Placido Polanco, an underrated second baseman is hitting .313 with solid defense and Pudge Rodriguez is hitting .290 with fantastic defense and all of these guys desverve to be in the All-Star Game ahead of Guillen.  Sorry Francona, you messed up big time here.

Some people thought that Kosuke Fukodome was a bad choice for the All-Star Game but what is not to like about him?  He has a solid average with great fielding, a whole bunch of runs and he is on a winning team and usually when you are on very good teams, you have a much better chance to make the All-Star Game.  One pick I didn't like was Ken Griffey Jr. - he has been below average this season and hasn't been hitting many home runs like he did last year.  He got Homer No. 600 and I guess that is a selling point right there but he still doesn't deserve to get in.  But then, the All-Star Game wouldn't be the same without him getting voted in - and then dropping out.

Congrats on getting to 200 (when it HAPPENS, of course...lol).
Take it from me, the NEXT 100 are harder.
