Much to your dismay it's Keeper again. I know you probably saying that I'm boring, but who cares. Let's look at the news.
The Big Deal- Your pick, Ronaldinho or Emmanuel Adebayor. If you are in the situation that AC Milan is in who do you pick? The young, big striker or the flashy midfielder that wants to turn his career around? It's a tough choice but AC Milan know there is only one real choice. They know that there is a man that is a game breaker and can score and dribble and make moves with the best of them. Ronaldinho, I don't care if he's fat or out of shape, is still one of the bets players in the world. And at any time he can be the best. So ultimately, will Milan sign him? I don't know. But I would much rather have a proven Brazilian winger than an over-priced Togolese striker.
Something that Interests Me- Romario in the Champions League? Yeah, you read that correctly. Recently retired 1,000 goal-scorer Romario was set to play in the UCL First Qualifying Round with San Marino champions SS Murata. Romario had to turn the opportunity down due to the death of his father. He doesn't want to leave the family in that time of need and I can't blame him. One of his World Cup- winning teammates, Adair, will play for Murata. Adair and Romario have had this dream for awhile. On another note, racing legend Micheal Schumacher turned down a shot to play for FC Echicens in Switzerland.
One More Liverpool Matter- Liverpool are about to sign Palmeiras goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri. The move should see the end of Scott Carson's stay at Liverpool. The Brazilian goalkeeper is one of the best Western keepers and he will back-up Spanish goalkeeper Jose "Pepe" Reina. At one time he almost went to Inter, but Julio Cesar took that spot. I think Diego will be good for Liverpool and I can only hope that he can get aerial balls unlike Reina.
Today's Big Game- Well unless you live in Brazil you have nothing to watch. A couple of Russian games but nothing that we'll get to see here in the States. Sorry for that news. Thanks as always. It's been Keeper and I'm out.

Good blog. When I read about Murata (a club from San Marino) wanting Romario I doubled over in laughter. He's 42 for crying out loud.
I know Adebayor is overhyped but I have my doubts about a Ronaldinho/Kaka pairing. I just can't see those two working well together. I agree that I would rather have Ronaldinho over Adebayor on my team but I'm not sure Ronaldinho is the best target for AC Milan right now.

Roni & Kaka just don't work well together unless Milan are planning to put Roni up top at striker, which could happen, though it's unlikely unless Pato moves to MF. Also don't forget that a Ronaldhino pick-up means that Seedorf is either on the bench or playing far back in midfield, which isn't the ideal spot for him.
Basically Ronaldhino really causes some big time shifts in Milan's line-up and then there's the cultural thing. I'm not a fan of Milan, but they are a model organization in that they do not tolerate crap from their players. Look at them benching Savicevic, arguably the best player in the world at the time, before a European championship final because he mouthed off to Capello.
Additionally, he will have to not just get into shape, but top shape. The reason Milan can play so many old players is because they keep them in top shape and they monitor every aspect of the players' fitness on a daily basis. I still have no idea how Ronaldo didn't lose more weight there, though he did tighten up after the move from Real.
Adebayor is overrated, but with Kaka, Seedorf, Pirlo & Pato around he will get lots of chance though he may just prove to be another Gilardino & miss the net constantly. Hopefully they make both moves & mess their team up clearing an easier path for Juve to get the Scudetto.
