Just when I had resigned myself to seeing the Nats lose yet another close game, they just might fool me tonight.
As I'm writing this, it's 10:15 Eastern time...and the Nats are batting in the bottom of the 10th, tied @ 5 apiece. And wouldn't you know, Jesus Flores is at bat with a chance to win it. Runners @ 1st and 3rd, 1 out...
And, a fielder's choice to the plate. 2 out.
Now, it's Wily Mo Pena's turn. Runners at 1st and 2nd, 2 away...count, 1-1. A whiff for strike 2...shouldn't have swung at that. Groundout to 2nd, and we go to the 11th...
And to think: the Nats were down 2-0 going into the bottom of the 9th. I said it before, but it bears to be repeated--this team finds new and novel ways to give me a fricking ulcer.

the dbacks are a joke.... how they are in 1st in the NL west is a joke. But the Nats always have had some fight, especially at home.. I know from Phillies standpoint they were always very tough vs us.
