In response to:
Favre a perfect fit for Vikings?
Let's summarize all the reports and rumors flying around: Brett Favre "itching" to play. Packers cool to the idea. Favre talks to head coach about possible return. Packers cool to the idea. Favre asks for release. Packers cool to the idea. What does this tell us, other than the Packers are really cool? It says a hall of fame quarterback could be seeking short-term employment on the open market. Let's say that, somehow, Favre secures his release. It isn't a stretch to say he would look to sign with a team just a veteran quarterback away from the Super Bowl. Yeah, yeah, go ahead and snort. But think about it. Your very own Minnesota Vikings are the perfect fit for Favre, who would want to win immediately. No other team comes close, except the Packers, and they don't want him. Imagine, the Vikings really would be Super Bowl favorites. Plus, Tarvaris Jackson could learn from the best for a year or two. And Zygi Wilf could rev up the bulldozers. He would be the area's man of the year for working so diligently toward bringing a championship to Minnesota.

This would be the equvilant of Optimus Prime becoming a Decepticon to Packer fans. I'm really not sure how crippling this would be to Wisconsin. Packer fans have LOVED picking on the Vikes for eons. In fact I can't think of a Vikings experience that hasn't been rained on by Pack lovers. The only trump card we have is that we beat them in Green Bay in the playoffs a few years ago and thats the only time the two teams have played in the post season (did I just jinx us? crap). They can still wave the championships in our face and we have nothing to comeback with. 98 was easily the hardest sports loss for MN and Packer fans were right there to rub salt in the wound. Getting Farve MIGHT help ease that pain but not all the way. I would LOVE it just for the depression that it would cause in WI. I'm not sold Farve would deliver a Super Bowl win but how great of a game would that be for him to stroll into Green Bay sporting the Vikes helmet for the first game of the year on Monday night football? There might be a riot. Seriously I bet a few of the die hards spontaniously combust.

Farve would want to knock the snot out of the them for screwing with him and with the team we've got ready to roll this season we could annihilate them and most other teams. I like Tavaris but he could use a year or two learning from a Jedi QB before taking the reigns.

The reality is if Farve really wants to comeback and GB stone walls him (again) and he gets his release he HAS to come here. We are ripe for a title run with the offensive line we have, the RB combo and the potitenial for an all time scary defense. We'd be asking Brett to be conservative on offense instead of gun slinging out wins. Hmmm the more I think about this whats not to like? Brett I hope you read this and then give your agent a call. I bet Ziggy's already got a blank check with your name on it :)

I almost "Threw-Up" when I read the title of this article....you have GOT TO BE taking some serious drugs!
Brett would NEVER EVER PLAY for the Vikings....he absolutely HATES the "ROLLER-DOME"...matter of fact- if you know Favre like a TRUE Packer Fan does....you would have seen/heard the video clip (and read in one of his books) where he stated that he actually wants to be there when they tear it (Dome) down!!
I think THAT just about answers YOUR QUESTION about him ever wearing anything "Purple" now doesn't it?
