Hello again, and welcome back to my introduction to the 2008-2009 NFL season. As you might remember from last week, I'm going division by division to rank the top 5 players on each team, and then the top 5 in each division overall, and finally culimnating with the top 40 (maybe I'll expand to 50) players in the NFL.
But enough wih the talk. Here we go!
THE NFC SOUTH
Ah, the NFC South, one of the most unpredictable divisions in the NFL. While it does have some noticeable star power, through and through the talent in the division is fairly shaky, especially on the potentially disasterous Atlanta Falcons. Anyways, onto the rankings:
The New Orleans Saints
1- Drew Brees
2- Jamaal Brown
3- Marques Colston
4- Deuce McAlister
5- Jahri Evans
The Carolina Panthers
1- Steve Smith
2- Julius Peppers
3- Jonathon Beason
4- Travelle Wharton
5- Jake Delhomme
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1- Ronde Barber
2- Davin Joseph
3- Joey Galloway
4- Jovan Haye
5- Barrett Ruud
The Atlanta Falcons
1- Michael Boley
2- Roddy White
3- Jon Abraham
4- Michael Turner
5- Keith Brooking
Top 5 Players Overall in the NFC South
1- Drew Brees
2- Steve Smith
3- Julius Peppers
4- Jamaal Brown
5- Michael Boley
Sorry for the bare bones nature of this blog... I'm experimenting with different approaches, as part 1 seemed too long. I may come back and edit this again with more text.
