Right now this is a hypothetical question that I am too biased to answer. I'm a Bears season ticket holder who is a mark for Brett Favre. I would love to see this happen. I think Favre would like it here and the city would like him a lot. Getting Favre would also be an incredible long term investment for 1 or 2 back up quarterbacks to learn and get a lot better. So I need to hear from the football fanatics and strategists about how good that team could be. How would the legitimate threats of the NFL fair against such a team?

No, they would be a hell of a lot better than the top 10 draft pick team they seem destined to be, but the playoffs with Favre at the helm would be quite an accomplishment

I doubt that. Brett Favre needs a solid O-Line to protect him. He isn't the most mobile of QB's. I think in Chicago Brett only pads his Interception stats.

I love this guy. Watched him for 17 years. Cried when he finally knew it was time to retire. If he comes back (at all) and ends up playing for someone besides the Packers then he can look forward to a) becoming a bum, b) losing much of his legacy, c) being booed in Green Bay and finally looking like just one more hack who can't accept his time is behind him. It really saddens me that this guy, who is a hero in WI and indeed in much of the football community, would put his ego ahead of his will to be a class guy. You go Brett - someone in 2009 will drill you into the turf, you'll become the brunt of bar jokes and you won't finish the season.
